Medical Toxicology Education & Lectures I provide custom-built, evidence-based, clinically relevant medical toxicology education for students, healthcare professionals, and researchers. My teaching spans psychopharmacology, neurotoxicology, clinical toxicology, and a broad range of toxicology topics, tailored to academic institutions, professional organizations, and specialized audiences. Current Teaching & Lecturing Areas I currently lecture in: Psychopharmacology & Neurotoxicology (University of Basel, Master of Drug Sciences) Covering neurotoxic agents, neurotransmitter systems, illicit and therapeutic drugs, and neurotoxic exposure risks, including: Fast-acting neurotoxins and their mechanisms The endocannabinoid system and high-THC products Cholinergic & monoaminergic toxicities (e.g., cocaine, amphetamines, TCA toxicity, organophosphates) Neurotoxic viruses & chemical warfare agents Mitochondrial toxicity & in vitro neurotoxicity assays Clinical Toxicology (Master of Drug Sciences, Basel) Covering the diagnosis and management of acute poisonings, including: Sedative and hypnotic drug toxicity Anticonvulsants and dopaminergic drug toxicity Cardiovascular drug poisonings (beta-blockers, calcium channel blockers, digoxin) Caustic ingestions & toxicological emergencies Illicit drugs, serotonin toxicity, and emerging substances Previous Lecturing & Special Topics With an extensive background in toxicology, I have delivered lectures on a wide array of toxicological topics, including: Drug-drug interactions & overdose management Environmental & occupational toxicology Novel psychoactive substances and emerging drugs of abuse Target-specific oral anticoagulants and toxic syndromes Toxicologic forensic case reviews & medicolegal toxicology Custom Lectures & Educational Offerings I develop custom, evidence-based lectures tailored to specific educational needs—whether for academic courses, clinical training, or professional development in medical toxicology, drug safety, and pharmacology.
